Europe eSIM: daily caps, throttling and hotspot, brand by brand
Of 24 travel eSIM brands with a rule that applies to Europe, 12 publish a daily full-speed allowance, 10 publish the speed you drop to afterwards and 4 state a hotspot rule (1 block hotspot outright). 3 rows rest on dated customer reports rather than the brand's own page and are marked unverified. Every number links to its source with the date it was observed; last review 2026-10-19.
Multi-country Europe eSIMs are the plans most often sold as unlimited, and the ones where the daily cap is most often buried in a fair-use policy instead of the plan page. Because the same profile roams across 30-plus networks, brands set one rule for the whole region. The table shows those regional rules side by side, with any country-specific exceptions where a brand publishes them.

What to watch for in Europe
Switzerland, the UK and Turkey are not in every "Europe" plan; check the country list before relying on the regional rule.
A low throttle speed (128 to 512 kbps) is enough for maps and messages, not for video calls; the number matters more than the word unlimited.
Regional plans often cap hotspot even when the single-country plan from the same brand does not.
