Spain eSIM: daily caps, throttling and hotspot, brand by brand
Of 24 travel eSIM brands with a rule that applies to Spain, 13 publish a daily full-speed allowance, 10 publish the speed you drop to afterwards and 5 state a hotspot rule (1 block hotspot outright). 3 rows rest on dated customer reports rather than the brand's own page and are marked unverified. Every number links to its source with the date it was observed; last review 2026-10-19.
Spain combines long stays, heavy navigation and a lot of remote work, so hotspot rules and the after-cap speed decide whether an unlimited eSIM is usable past lunchtime. Travel eSIMs there use Movistar, Orange or Vodafone under the brands' Europe-wide policies; the table shows what each brand commits to in writing.

What to watch for in Spain
- The Canary and Balearic islands are covered by the same plans but with thinner rural coverage; the cap is not the issue there, the network is.
- Remote workers should treat a blocked or 500 MB hotspot row as a no, whatever the headline data says.
- Brands that publish nothing for Spain are governed by the Europe row.
