Thailand eSIM: daily caps, throttling and hotspot, brand by brand
Of 29 travel eSIM brands with a rule that applies to Thailand, 12 publish a daily full-speed allowance, 9 publish the speed you drop to afterwards and 4 state a hotspot rule. 2 rows rest on dated customer reports rather than the brand's own page and are marked unverified. Every number links to its source with the date it was observed; last review 2026-10-19.
Thailand has three strong networks (AIS, TrueMove H, dtac) and some of the cheapest tourist data in Asia, so the question is rarely price. It is whether an "unlimited" travel eSIM slows to a crawl after its daily allowance while a local tourist SIM would not. The rows below are the brands' own published rules for Thailand, Asia, or worldwide.

What to watch for in Thailand
Island and dive-trip days can spend a daily bucket on photo backups alone; a plan with a published throttle speed above 1 Mbps still works for messaging after that.
Local tourist SIMs at the airport are a real alternative for stays over two weeks; the trade is queueing and a passport registration.
Hotspot caps tend to be lower in Asia rows than in Europe rows for the same brand.
