Poland

A Poland travel eSIM roams onto Orange Polska, Play or Plus, all three of which are well built out nationally with 5G in Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Poznan and Gdansk. Poland is in the EU, so a regional Europe plan covers it under EU roaming rules.

When you land
Install the eSIM at home over Wi-Fi before you fly, then simply switch off airplane mode after landing at Warsaw Chopin (WAW) — it should register on Orange, Play or Plus within a minute or two, well before the train or bus into the city centre. The same applies at Warsaw Modlin, Krakow Balice and Gdansk; make sure Data Roaming is ON for the eSIM line and your home line's data is OFF.

Common questions

Does an eSIM work in Poland?
Yes, with no restrictions. The profile registers on Orange Polska, Play or Plus as a roaming guest, and all three have broad national coverage. Your handset needs to be eSIM-capable and carrier-unlocked. Poland is in the EU, so a regional Europe plan covers the country under normal EU roaming rules.
Will it activate on arrival at Warsaw Chopin Airport?
It should register within a minute or two of leaving airplane mode, usually before you reach baggage reclaim. The same applies at Warsaw Modlin, Krakow Balice and Gdansk. If nothing appears, toggle airplane mode once and confirm Data Roaming is enabled on the eSIM line rather than your home SIM.
Can I use the personal hotspot?
Tethering works on most Poland and Europe plans and draws from the same allowance. It is genuinely useful on PKP Intercity trains, where the onboard WiFi is unreliable enough that laptop users tend to give up on it and share from a phone instead. Expect the battery to drain noticeably faster while doing so.
